The British Business Bank – Unlocking Finance

The British Business Bank supply finance options for a range of businesses across the UK – whether it’s to help them start, fund growth or support them in more challenging times, their aim is to help the business become a long term success. We were commissioned to create an animation based around the banks main aims – focussing on three diverse case studies of businesses they’ve helped support in the last few years.

The brief was to develop a swift-paced film that clearly explained how the bank supports businesses through working with funding bodies to unlock finance. This involves a ‘flow’ of money through several organisations – a proposition that can quickly become difficult to understand. We came up with moving dashed lines to emphasise the ‘flow’ and explain how the bank work with other financiers.

We also developed a range of colourful characters to represent the diversity of professions and businesses that the British Business Bank have supported.
