The Challenge Promo

The Challenge is a 12 week summer programme of activities for young people consisting of fundraising, campaigns, community work, team building and loads more.  They wanted to not only create an animated promo of the whole scheme to explain it to potential young people getting involved, but also create additional films to explain how each four week section would work.

The key thing for us was to create a bold central character we could focus the narrative around, so we made ‘Ash’ a star shaped character that laid the foundation and ideas for all the other geometric characters that inhabited the world.

It was a great project for Scubaboy as once the first animation outlined the central purpose of the summer programme, the other three animations were able to play with more abstract sequences which involved rollercoasters, pigeons, buckets and books.
